What if your birth chart isn’t a sentence but a map?
In this episode of Hangin’ with Mist3rDouglas, I sit down with occultist, astrologer, magician, mystic and internet character WarJord for a wide ranging conversation about astrology, magick, divination, fate and free will, synchronicity, consciousness, AI, UFOs/NHI, and the strange relationship between belief, meaning and reality itself.
Jord did always monitor the stars. After growing up around tarot and astrology, he moved toward atheism and materialism, until repeatedly tracking planetary transits and real-world events forced him to reconsider what he thought he knew.
From there we get into the practical question at the center of this show:
If astrology and magick actually work
what can we DO with them?
We explore how to read a natal chart without falling into “fortune cookie” or pop slop astrology, why difficult aspects like squares and oppositions can become engines for growth, the role of Chiron and psychological wounds, and the differences between modern psychological astrology and more fatalistic Hellenistic astrology.
Jord also offers a fascinating model for understanding astrology: your natal chart as a computer system.
The planets are hardware. The signs are operating settings. The houses are areas of operation. The aspects are the wiring and connections. Your rising sign is the user interface. And your Moon? Think RAM. Memory and emotional processing.
But this conversation travels far beyond astrology. We explore ceremonial magick, occult correspondences, discernment, tarot and divination, crows and magpies as potential information systems, randomness and synchronicity, Randonautica, whether randomness creates an opening through which meaningful information can emerge, and the fascinating question of whether AI could accidentally become another kind of divinatory interface.
Then we go deeper.
What are human beings actually here to do?
Are we living inside something resembling a game with fixed events but meaningful choices in how we play?
Can fate and free will coexist?
Are human beings fundamentally meaning-making creatures who participate in reality by interpreting and changing it?
And what happens when we extend that model toward UFOs, non-human intelligence, angels, demons and other forms of consciousness?
We also discuss asteroids including Chiron and the goddess asteroids, generational astrology, the evolution of astrological practice, magical discipline, Crowley, planetary correspondences, and Jord’s provocative idea that astrology itself may somehow be strengthened by accumulated human belief and shared meaning.
This one goes way out past the outer planets.
